As a missionary kid in Tennessee at Cedine Bible Camp,, Rebecca accepted the Lord at five. As a high school senior, Rebecca was at death's door due to a rare blood disease. God miraculously spared her life. Rebecca went on to receive her bachelor degree in nursing from North Park University. She worked in substance abuse nursing before self-publishing her first book, Chosen Vessels, Women of Color, Keys to Change in 1992. After selling over 60,000 copies, this book was republished by InterVarsity Press in 2002. InterVarsity Press also published her third book, It’s Not About You; It’s About God, Rebecca’s fourth book, Spiritual Sisterhood : mentoring for women of color. will be published by InterVarsity Press in 2011. Rebecca has challenged women across the United States to go beyond religious activity to spiritual maturity. She has also ministered in Ethiopia and Uganda. Rebecca has been married to Uwaifo Osaigbovo since 1978 and they have 3 adult children.
